Новгород

Novgorod was really beautiful. The city is a lot less crowded and much quieter than St. Petersburg, which was a good change of pace. We found almost everything was cheaper here which was really nice. The churches were more typical churches, which I really liked. We went into the Hagia Sophia which was a church I especially wanted to see. It was ridiculously hot the two days we were there... upper 80s. Everyone was pretty excited there was a beach. Luckily my friend and I got a 2 floor room (hotel had no AC) due to our present giving a few days prior! Shot glasses and peanut butter go a long way in Russia.
